On the 13^th of January 2007, we were asked to tale part in a day of demonstrations of “Rural Skills” at the Museum of the Welsh Woollen Industry (Drefach-Felindre).  There, there was a basket maker, a walking stick maker, a bodger, and a man doing extraordinary marketry work; also videos of dry-stone-walling etc.

 Carol and I took along an old ‘Kick-wheel’ and I threw a few pots and Carol decorated them.  The event was well attended, and neighbours (some of whom I’ve known for over 20 years) saw me throwing for the first time since I’d known them.
