EVERYTHING IS ON HOLD (NO CLASSES) WHILE WE GET THE PLACE READY TO SELL.
When we move, it will be to somewhere
with a similar sized studio, but a bit more
purpose-built!

What's coming up?
NOTHING FOR THE TIME BEING.
Please ignore everything below!
I'm happy to say that we have been able to add two more potters wheels, so now we have a variety of 4 electric wheels and 2 kick wheels.
We have also added a second, smaller gas kiln, so that, should you wish to have work reduction-fired, the delay shouldn't be quite so long.
Our Studio
Our new payment regime is as follows:-
Drop-in.
Classes can be payed for one at a time, on a "Drop-in" basis. These are charged at £8.00p per two-and-a-half-hour session (afternoon or evening). It is advisable to phone in advance to check that we are not over booked for that session.
5 Sessions.
Alternatively, you can book "5 Sessions" for £35. However rather than commiting to a block of 5 consecutive classes, you can mark five sessions on a calender, to fit in with your other committments.
Firing and material costs are additional:-
Standard materials @ £2 per kg (weight of finished item)
Specialist materials (eg.porcelain, gold lustre, etc) calculated separately.
Firings to be calculated. (average £2:50p per 5 weeks)
Evening Classes last 2 1/2 hours (from 6:30 to 9:00 pm)
Afternoon classes last 2 1/2 hours and can be any 2 1/2 hours fitted in between 12:30 and 4:30 to suit you.
Longer Afternoon Sessions. If you would like a longer, 4 hour session (from 12:30 to 4:30) this can be charged at £11 for Drop-in or £50 for a set of 5-sessions.
We can take a maximum of 10 students, but need a minimum of 8 students to break even (or we cannot run a block). Places are offered on a "first come first serve" basis and students have to pay for sessions they have committed to (even if they cannot attend all of them).
We are happy to take absolute beginners, but also feel we have much to offer experienced makers as well.
The Studio is an old "Fulling Mill" with an uneven cobbled floor, so we advise that sensible shoes with warm socks should be worn.
We do not take on students under the age of 15 years. This is partly for Health & Safety reasons, but also because some parents enjoy one "grown-up-evening" per week.
